Kristin joined us almost two years ago now and in that time has developed a passion for health coaching and specifically the role of food and toxins in our health. Her personal struggles with her own health have caused her to become very knowledgeable and she can identify with the challenges these lifestyle modifications require. Having assisted many of you through your LEAP therapy journey, she has realized she would prefer to work directly with our clients in achieving their health goals rather than behind the desk as our administrative director.
I can’t thank her enough for helping us institute many programs which I’ve had accumulating in my mind but lacked the woman-power to bring to fruition. Because of Kristin’s support, we have been able to coordinate multiple maternity programs successfully, while also adding the thyroid and sexual bliss programs. Our functional medicine clientele has grown exponentially, and primary care clients are now as prominent as our maternity care. You may have noticed as well, that our office runs smoothly without Dr. Lane’s immediate presence and all the many monotonous and noxious tasks which were previously neglected have been pulled out and beat into shape. Her dedication to the practice has meant the world to me and admittedly, allowed me to find better balance in my own life.
Seasons have changed and Kristin’s passion for health coaching and nutritional counseling is growing stronger so she’ll soon be passing the baton to another, but don’t fret, many of you may remember Keely Lane, Dr. Lane’s oldest daughter. Mid-September, she will replace Kristin’s role in the office, with which she has some familiarity. Keely has attended more than 300 home births including a few vaginal breech births and a set of twins. She has worked as a clinic assistant, boutique manager, and birthed and breastfed her own adorable little man, Kaiden. As the daughter of a midwife, she has grown up deeply involved in business management, customer service, the midwifery-model-of-care and thinking with a holistic mindset. Her specific job title will be that of the Clinic Coordinator, while Kristin’s will transition to the Client Care Coordinator.
Kristin’s primary role will be in assisting our clients in reaching their health goals. This will include one-on-one mentorship, teaching classes, and working within the community to build relationships and educate consumers. She will continue to welcome clients into their various programs and work to improve their experiences from their first day through their last. She’ll remain in the office three days a week while diving into a rigorous holistic health nutritional and health coaching program for which she will certify.
In addition to her many years working for her mother as the practice grew in its early years, Keely has attained a few year’s experience as the administrative assistant of a large housing complex. Her role included customer service, writing contracts, and even representing the company in court as needed. This newly gained experience will enhance her previous work with the practice in her new role as our Clinic Coordinator. Keely is also a student at Ivy Tech working towards attaining her nursing degree and has an open heart for the Lord’s calling as to how she will apply that into the future.
Dr. Lane continues as our nurse-midwife caring for all our maternity and primary care clients, and working towards her own post-doctorate certification as a family nurse practitioner in effort to expand our scope into men and children’s health. She is currently working through the Institute of Functional Medicine’s modules for certification as a functional medicine practitioner and certification as an herbalist.
