Are you interested in midwifery? Considering becoming one yourself? Not sure how best to approach it? Maybe you are already pursuing midwifery but you have questions? Ask our nurse-midwives about their journey, and gather their tips.
Nurse-midwives, Dr. Penny Lane and Miss Kristina Michael, will share why they chose to become midwives, how they made the decision and chose their particular path. The various avenues of midwifery will be explored, the history of midwifery, and midwifery in Indiana will be outlined. They will share the challenges of the profession and how to embrace them. Hospital practice, birth center and homebirth practices will be explored, as well as employment verses private practice.
When, where and how much to join?
Saturday, October 3rd, from 7pm to 9pm, please join us in our Carmel boutique at 1117 South Rangeline Road. There is no expense for this class. We are huge advocates for midwifery and seek to encourage the younger generation – to see ourselves surpassed. We do however, ask that attendants bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Spirits will be provided.
